Last week my dear friend Honey, at honeygirlsworld.com, invited me to join her in a no buy challenge. The idea is to refrain from many makeup purchases for this year; rather than encouraging one another to make impulsive, unnecessary buys, we would empower each other to say, "No." Every so often we would report back with our developments along the way on our blogs.
I remember trying to go on a rigid no buy last year. I believe it lasted a month, then I lost my mind and shopped after the month passed. I am hoping for better this year! :)
We chatted about the particulars and she bounced ideas that helped me a lot deciding my course of action for this challenge. I have written up a wishlist for this coming year to indulge myself ever so often and besides it resorting to only repurchasing completely used up (or have expired and gotten old much turned to) makeup items like mascara, liners, brow pencils and gels, eye primers and bases, false lashes, eyelash glue, and favorite lip products.
Please check out Honey's thoughts, goals and her wishlist for this no buy challenge here: http://honeygirlsworld.com/makeup-spending-challenge-the-dreaded-no-buy/
We will be posting with our developments one time per quarter (the next to be in March), so please watch for them and see how we have done by then!
